PARACETAMOL - Picosecond laser source

To develop a tunable picosecond laser source for tattoo removal.

About the project:

The PARACETAMOL project aims to develop a protocol to remove tattoos by laser. In comparison with current tattoo removal techniques, this protocol will allow to remove colored tattoos with a reduction of pain and without side effects. This will be achieved through the development of a new picosecond laser source, with tunable wavelength in the visible and infrared spectrum.

ALPhANOV's role:

ALPhANOV is working on the development of a characterization protocol to study the characteristics of tattoo inks and to understand the interaction of the laser with the pigments. In the frame of the project, specific ALPhANOV lasers as well as the laser developed by IRISIOME, will be used.
