To implement these capabilities, ALPhANOV relies on in-depth knowledge 
of laser-matter interaction and various laser technologies. Depending on pulse duration and wavelength, three main types of lasers are used to meet different machining and precision needs:
- Continuous or long-pulse lasers (> 10 ps) promote high material removal rates but generate peripheral thermal effects, typical of micro-machining and marking.
- Pico- and femtosecond lasers provide maximum precision with minimal thermal impact, ideal for transparent materials or surface work.
- UV lasers allow selective ablation and finer interaction, particularly suited to polymers and material-to-material interfaces.
