Kick-off of the 3rd edition of the Photonics TALENT Summer School
Photonics TALENT Summer School
The second International "Photonics TALENT" Summer School will take place from June 15 to 19, 2026 in Bordeaux, France.
This third Summer School will bring together academics and industrial companies, offering European Master's and PhD students the opportunity to explore the latest innovations and key trends in Extreme Light for Advanced Applications, through a program developed in collaboration with the CEA.
This year's program will cover the following topics:
- Inertial Confinement Fusion Laser Architectures;
- High-Intensity Laser Applications: Space, Medical, and Sustainable Development;
- Low-Noise Lasers for Quantum and Space Applications.

This summer school is part of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Photonics TALENT project led by ALPhANOV, which brings together members of the consortium comprising the ALPHA-RLH competitiveness cluster and photonics leaders such as Amplitude Laser, TOPTICA Photonics and Exail.
The aim of the project is to highlight and raise public awareness of the photonics industry, a fast-growing sector offering a wide range of career opportunities.
