Launch of the first Photonics Summer School
PHOTONICS TALENT SUMMER SCHOOL
The first International "Photonics TALENT" Summer School will take place from July 8 to 12, 2024 in Bordeaux, France. It will bring together academics and industrial companies, offering European Master's and PhD students the opportunity to explore cutting-edge research in laser source development and applications.
The Photonics TALENT Summer School will cover strategic and ground-breaking areas of photonics, including :
- Laser source development
- Laser industry 4.0
- Laser processing
- Quantum technologies
- Attosecond science
"Attendees will have the chance to interact with industry professionals and internationally renowned scientific experts during special presentations. The will also visit regional Photonics companies to discover how technology transfer support the exploitation of ideas from R&D laboratories to production sites. This summer school is part of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Photonics TALENT project led by ALPhANOV, which brings together members of the consortium comprising the ALPHA-RLH competitiveness cluster and photonics leaders such as Amplitude Laser, TOPTICA Photonics and Exail.
The aim of the project is to highlight and raise public awareness of the photonics industry, a fast-growing sector offering a wide range of career opportunities.
